Hello and welcome
to our newly revamped website.

The 24th Otley Victorian Fayre which will be held on
Friday the 11th December 2009.

BREAKING NEWS: The reindeer will be with us again this year. Come and see them.

It has been my pleasure to chair the 2009 committee who have worked tirelessly to organise an event that has become such an integral part of Otley’s Christmas celebrations. I would like to officially thank them for their commitment and hard work.

Last year we were hit by dreadful weather but it did not stop the thousands of people who attended both young and old, to enjoy this wonderful event. During the day the local school children sang their hearts out at various venues throughout the town. Many of our shops dressed their windows and themselves using a Victorian theme. The evening Fayre included over 80 stalls offering a variety of lovely things to buy, win or eat. The street entertainment included donkey rides, steam engines, Morris dancers, stilt walkers, a ride on train, traditional fair ground rides, Santa’s grotto, real Reindeer and much more.

We were also delighted to be asked to do a live outside broadcast with BBC’s Look North - a first for the Fayre.

Although there is an official acknowledgement page on this website I would like to say a personal thank you to the local businesses that have placed adverts in our programme. The programme adverts and sales provide over £4000 towards our costs and without their involvement we would be unable to run the fayre.
