The dreadful weather, in the days leading up to the 25th Victorian Fayre, had us all worried for a while but unlike a lot of events we were able to go ahead.
An estimated 16,500 people enjoyed a wonderful family day ……the highest attendance ever recorded. As with any event there is always room for improvement. Our de brief shows that although choosing Sunday was the right decision, running it earlier would be an improvement. The 2011 fayre will run from 12 noon to 6pm.
One quote from our local newspaper was as follows ‘this is better than the German Market in Leeds’ high praise indeed when you consider it is organised by just 11 volunteers.
The 26th Otley Victorian Fayre which will be held on
Sunday 11th December 12 noon-6pm
Work has already started on the planning for the 26th Fayre. Improvements will be made, old favourites will be included.
Would you like to join our motley crew? You can do as much or as little as your time allows……we don’t bite and, perhaps surprisingly, actually have fun along the way.
